Background
This part of our family tree shows the known ancestors of John Waterworth, including the brothers and sisters of those ancestors where we can find them. We have tracked down all of John's great-great-grandparents and three-quarters of the sixth generation.
The Waterworths come from Barnoldswick in Yorkshire via Burnley and were mainly cotton weavers; the Hodgsons and Dands are from Cumberland; the Pigdens and Andersons are from South London and were mainly labourers; the Gales are from Dorset and were shepherds and agricultural labourers.
