In early July it was Anne's birthday and Steve Waterworth's birthday (John's dad), so we went to a restaurant in Orpington called Chapter One. The food was excellent, we gave out presents and all had a great time.
We managed to keep where we were going a secret until the morning. It slipped out eventually, but
Anne didn't know that her friend Kate was coming.
My dad doesn't normally like going out to restaurants but really enjoyed the lunch. And he's
looking pretty good for 74.
A final picture of my mum and Rachel. They get on really well and are similar in many ways -- especially
that everywhere we go they bump into people they know.
Back in June we went up to the Midlands for a couple of days to celebrate the birthdays of Jack Flynn and Peter Flynn (Anne's uncle and cousin). Here are some photos from the day.
We went for lunch at a restaurant near Bromsgrove. This is a picture of Peter, his mother Marci and
Mary, Anne's sister.
Jack had a great time. Here he is with Peter, Anthony and Mike.
