In July we had our regular garden party. The weather was fantastic. Lots of sun and enough breeze to keep it cool. The food had a Mediterranean theme (mousaka, veggie lasange, spaghetti putanesca, salads) and we had lots of lawn games ready to go.
We started out with a game of boules on the lawn. The children were so much better than the adults
it was embarrassing.
By the middle of the afternoon shade was at a premium and most people had shifted out of the sun.
It was great just sitting in the garden, having a glass of wine and relaxing.
After a while it can all be just a bit too much.
The large scale garden Jenga was a hoot, even though after letting everyone in on the secret of how to play,
John lost two games in a row.
Colouring is always fun, however old you are.
